Behind a stellar performance from goalie Dillon Ward, Team Canada quieted the Iroquois offense en route to a dominant 10-5 win at the FIL World Lacrosse Championship on Monday.
With the win, Canada (3-1) advances directly to the semifinals.
Ward had 24 saves — often spectacular ones against crafty behind-the-back shots in tight — to lead Canada. The Iroquois Nation was held scoreless in the first quarter despite 12 shots in the first frame.
