The Iroquois Nationals is participating in the Federation of International Lacrosse’s “2015 World Men’s Indoor Lacrosse Championships” to be held in Onondaga Nation, Haudenosaunee and Buffalo, New York –Seneca Territory.
The Iroquois Nationals Board of Directors is accepting applicants to fill the voluntary positions of General Manager, Head Coach, Assistant Coaches, and Trainers. The Iroquois Nationals 2015 Men’s Indoor Lacrosse application consists of a letter of interest and a resume. The one page letter of interest should briefly address 2 points; first what it means to coach the Haudenosaunee National Team and secondly your lacrosse championship platform.

GENERAL MANAGER
- Understanding of Haudenosaunee history and culture
- Thorough knowledge of Indoor lacrosse
- 3-5 years experience in management or administrative services, or comparable experience
- Excellent communication skills appropriate for all stakeholders
- Ability to develop and prepare schedules and budgets
- Ability to multitask as a independent leader and collaborate as member of the management team
- Excellent organizational skills, i.e., securing team transportation and accommodations
- Responsible for the Men’s Team recommendation to BOD
- Consults in conjunction with the Executive Director and management team
HEAD COACH
- Understanding of Haudenosaunee history and culture
- Thorough knowledge and vision of Indoor lacrosse
- 3-5 years experience in coaching Indoor lacrosse, professional Indoor lacrosse, and/or comparable experience
- Professional communication skills appropriate for all stakeholders
- Responsible for scheduling of try-outs, practices, and exhibitions
- Experience in player development success
- Responsible for the recommendation of Men’s Team selection
- Ability to multitask as a independent leader and collaborate as member of the management team
- Consults in conjunction with the General Manager and management team
COACHES: Offensive and Defensive
- Understanding of Haudenosaunee history and culture
- Thorough knowledge and vision of Indoor lacrosse
- Indoor lacrosse coaching experiences
- Experience in player development success
- Recommendation of Men’s Team selection
- Ability to multitask as a independent leader and collaborate as member of the management team
- Professional communication skills appropriate for all stakeholders
- Consults in conjunction with the Head Coach and management team
TRAINERS
- Understanding of Haudenosaunee history and culture
- Knowledge of Indoor lacrosse
- Possesses a valid Sports Trainer certification
- Evaluate, implement, and monitor appropriate physical care
- Thorough knowledge of proper selection, care, and control of required medical documents, authorizations, and supplies
- Ability to multitask as a independent leader and collaborate as member of the management team
- Professional communication skills appropriate for all stakeholders
- Consults in conjunction to the management team
