The Iroquois Nationals is participating in the Federation of International Lacrosse’s “Under-19 World Lacrosse Championships” to be held at the Percy Perry Stadium, Coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada in July 7-16 of 2016.
The Iroquois Nationals Board of Directors is accepting applicants to fill the voluntary positions of General Manager, Head Coach, Assistant Coaches, and Trainers. The Iroquois Nationals 2016 U19 Lacrosse application consists of a letter of interest and a lacrosse resume. The one page letter of interest should briefly address 2 points; first what it means to coach the Haudenosaunee U19 National Team and secondly your field lacrosse championship platform.

GENERAL MANAGER
- Understanding of Haudenosaunee history and culture

- 3-5 years’ experience in management or administrative services, or comparable experience
- Excellent communication skills appropriate for all stakeholders
- Ability to develop and prepare schedules and budgets
- Ability to multitask as an independent leader and collaborate as member of the management team
- Excellent organizational skills, i.e., securing team transportation and accommodations
- Responsible for the U19 Team recommendation to the Board of Directors
- Consults in conjunction with the Executive Director, Management Team, & BOD
- Thorough understanding of youth lacrosse and development programming
HEAD COACH
- Understanding of Haudenosaunee history and culture
- Thorough knowledge and vision of field lacrosse
- 3-5 years’ experience in coaching field lacrosse, professional lacrosse, collegiate and/or comparable experience
- Professional communication skills appropriate for all stakeholders
- Responsible for scheduling of try-outs, practices, and exhibitions
- Experience in player development success
- Responsible for the recommendation of U19 Team selection
- Ability to multitask as an independent leader and collaborate as member of the management team
- Consults in conjunction with the General Manager and Management Team
- Thorough understanding of youth lacrosse and development programming
COACHES: Offensive and Defensive
- Understanding of Haudenosaunee history and culture
- Thorough knowledge and vision of field lacrosse
- Field lacrosse coaching experiences
- Experience in player development success
- Recommendation of U19 Team selection
- Ability to multitask as an independent leader and collaborate as member of the management team
